Mobile Vehicle Inspector

Reporting to designated manager, inspects vehicles for damage, missing parts, and mechanical problems on designated dealer?s car lots. Completes required inspection documentation via hand held devices promptly and accurately. Must know, practice and ensure that company policies and procedures and state or federal laws are followed at all times.

Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to the following:

1. ?Provide excellent customer service:

Make sure customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention.?

Maintain a professional appearance, clean and orderly mobile vehicle and friendly disposition when greeted by others while present on dealer?s lots.

Be familiar with procedures for handling all aspects of customer questions, complaints or disputes.? Including proper escalation process.

2. Inspection/Condition Report:

Arrive at ADESA at scheduled work time and meet the Mobile Van team at a pre-determined location. The team will be transported to dealer?s lot locations throughout the day.

Complete inspection/condition reports on designated vehicles and ensure vehicles inspected meet the program standards as defined by account or contract. Inspection/condition reports to include Vehicle make, year, VIN, options, body damage, mechanical operation and a minimum of 13 pictures.

Upload completed condition reports via the hand-held device to allow designated administrative personnel to launch vehicles at determined times.

3.? Other:

Practice and promote teamwork at all times.? Set a good personal example of attitude and performance.

Respond to and follow proper procedures on employee and customer accidents, injuries, and loss or damage to any property.? Report all incidents to the Manager.

Practice and promote company Core Values.

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Basic knowledge of automotive components.

Effective customer relations, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Ability to use current technology, basic computer skills.

Must possess a valid driver?s license.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

The physical activity requirements of the position are from Light to Medium Physical Work.

?? Frequent ?stooping, repetitive motion

?? Occasional ? balancing, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, lifting

?? Potential ? running, jumping, yelling, or other rapid or forceful movement in emergency situations

This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental working conditions, including temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, minor potential physical hazards, such as electrical current , moving mechanical parts, exposure to hot equipment and cleaning and pesticide chemicals; and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems, such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with internal and external service station/convenience food and petroleum dispensing operations.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
