Compliance Security Manager
The Compliance and Security Manager has overall accountability for the design, development, implementation, oversight and maintenance of site security and safety programs, training and policies. They will be the resident expert regarding OSHA and DOT compliance and be able to develop and manage a state of the art surveillance program and security team.
Training
Design, implement and execute programs and processes to protect the safety and health of employees including orientation and training programs
Conduct safety training and implement proactive safe work habit programs to mitigate employee injuries and illnesses e.g. proper stretching, bending, lifting, reaching, stretching, etc. for safety and behavioral safety
Conduct training for first-line supervisors/managers on safety regulations and standards, including guidance on handling OSHA and DOT compliance
Coordinate employee safety programs to determine their adequacy including review of short and long term strategic safety planning and development
Ensure required safety training is conducted and documented
Leadership and Presence
Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes
Alternates working schedule to maintain visibility with all shifts in all locations quarterly, at a minimum
Establish and maintain a presence with the workforce, through walk-throughs, meetings, inspections, and being accessible to all associates in their work environment
Will directly oversee all security employees including but not limited to Security Guards, Parking Lot Attendants, etc. and be responsible for scheduling, engaging, appraising and monitoring their performance
Apprises management on safety related issues and regulations which may impact the business.
Responsible for recommending new strategies, approaches, and tactical long-term planning of safety initiatives
Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices
Inspection
Oversee the site maintenance programs including preventive maintenance programs for all machines and equipment necessary to the operation and facility to ensure a safe and efficient operation
Complete facility inspections and reports a minimum of once per month per shift for each facility to ensure compliance with established programs and to identify and mitigate potential risks
Surveillance/Loss Prevention
Source, design and oversee a state of the art video monitoring system
Develop a routine and for cause video monitoring routine to identify and prevent asset loss, internal and external safety risks, customer liability, employee safety and food safety
Manage all door access systems to include authorizations and deactivations
Oversee, monitor and be the initial contact for all facility alarm systems and emergency response programs
Assist with investigations concerning integrity or safety and applicable video surveillance records
Create and enforce safety regulations governing the actions of contractors, vendors and visitor at all company facilities
Oversee retail parking lot and attendants to ensure the safety of our customers and to mitigate any damage or liability
Manage the Security Guard staff to ensure safety and security of all buildings and staff as well as to oversee proper documentation and ensure all loads are sealed
Monitor sales routes to ensure efficiency and integrity to maximize time with the customer
Drivers & Safety
Monitors DeLallo driver driving skills, speeds, etc. to ensure compliance with company standards
Ensures compliance with motor vehicle policies
Investigate industrial accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine root cause, design and implement preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities.
Establish and maintain business processes in conjunction with front-line managers to ensure employees are working safely to prevent incidents and injuries that lead to downtime.
Reviews and analyzes company accidents and historical claim experience to identify frequency or severity problems and loss trends. Conduct improvement projects based on findings to improve overall employee health and safety.
Oversee OSHA 300 log and injury records reporting
Attend Workers Compensation Hearings
Develop and oversee safe work practices reward programs with first-line supervisors/managers
Take an active role in the Health & Safety Committee, providing claims investigation documentation, performing functional work assessments, designing light duty positions, and assist in effectively managing all open claims
Maintain and update all training records relating to safety, including completion of training by individual employees and the creation of any new training protocols
Maintain safety files and records for audit, analyze trends of all incidents, recommend / implement appropriate corrective actions and follow up to ensure actions have been implemented
Compliance/Prevention
Identify and interpret regulatory standards that impact operational exposures and business activities and develop plans to ensure compliance.
Oversees fire suppression systems (lights, fire extinguishers, sprinklers and exits)
Assures and evaluates compliance with all federal, state and local safety, occupational health and environmental regulations including implementing the DeLallo safety
Develop and deliver timely and effective safety initiatives, standards, policies and educational training programs, which proactively address current safety issues and ensure compliance to all regulatory and company health and safety policies and procedures.
Review and monitor all Material Safety Data Safety Sheets for compliance

Work Environment & Equipment
Will require work in a variety of settings to include office, warehouse, production areas, retail, outside and in refrigerated environments.
Must be available to work alternate shifts as needed. Position requires standing/walking for considerable periods of time. Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which may include metal and/or plastic grating services. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. May be required to climb stairs and ladders. May be exposed to extreme temperature and weather conditions (indoors and outdoors), as well as wet and humid atmospheres. May be exposed to a variety of food allergens including but not limited to nuts and cheeses.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Safety Engineering/Management or related field preferred
A minimum of 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing setting desired
Detailed knowledge and experience in safety and health regulations including OSHA, Worker's Compensation, DOT and other governmental agencies
Ability to confidently make decisions in stressful situations, including leading emergency response efforts
Associate Safety Professional, Certified Safety Professional or similar designation highly desirable
OSHA 500 & 501 Train the Trainer Card highly desirable
Experience leading or being part of a security team preferred
Self-motivated, result-oriented, focused on meeting deadlines
Knowledge of worker's compensation processes, injury investigation and root cause analysis
Ability to write coherent reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and the general public
Ability to adjust work schedule to have exposure to off-shift employees for training, incident investigation, identify risk and implement procedures
Ability to travel between various sites to meet objectives of position
High level of confidentiality and discretion is required.
Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
