Shop Technician - Contract

The successful candidate must have or be able to perform the following:
? Read and follow drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of basic electronic theory and components.
? Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, connectors, or soldering.
? Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments.
? Assemble, test, or maintain circuitry or electronic components, according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, or knowledge of electronics, using hand tools, power tools, and soldering iron.
? Operate electronic and electrical test equipment.
? Clean parts, using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths.
? Position, align, or adjust work pieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.
? Mark and tag components so that stock inventory can be tracked and identified.
? Maintain system logs or manuals to document assembly, testing, or operation of equipment.
? Confer with supervisors, planners, or engineers to review work activities or to resolve production problems.
? Identify, evaluate, recommend and implement approved process or equipment improvements.
? Perform work that meets requirements and standards for IPC/WHMA-A-620 Requirements and Acceptability for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies certification.
? Perform work that meets requirements and standards for IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies certification.
? Learn, understand, and practice the appropriate quality, health, and safety procedures applicable to each work assignment.
? Able to execute new work assignments based on specific instruction received. Work is subject to routine peer checks and final verifications for quality and accuracy. Technician is accountable for own work.
? Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
? Ability to take direction and effectively perform tasks to complete the requests.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
