Review drawings, design/technical specifications, and procurement packages for electrical products. Perform engineering calculations in support of design or analysis of products. Compile technical documents / specifications for procurement or fabrication. Determine critical equipment characteristics to support equipment qualification and commercial dedication, including preparation of commercial dedication instructions. Assist in the development of equipment qualification test procedures, evaluate test results, and review final reports. Research product history and availability - perform equivalency evaluations to determine changes in form/fit/function of commercial products. Evaluate and provide feedback to vendor proposals. Provide technical input during the proposal process (estimating). Develop and maintain material master data in SAP, procurement specifications, BoMs and routings in support of new product introduction. Support supplier and/or manufacturing operations with technical issue resolution Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required. Minimum of 5 years of applicable engineering experience required; 6 plus preferred. Previous experience in the Nuclear Industry, specifically in nuclear power plant safety / non-safety systems, IEEE Standards and EPRI 3002002982 is highly desired. Proven knowledge and experience with electrical distribution systems (Low/Medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, and motor control centers). Experience with developing obsolescence solutions for electrical and I&C components, including reverse engineering Effective written and verbal communication skills, including positive customer interaction skills required. SAP knowledge, especially material master data management is desired. Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team including quality engineering, supply chain management, sales and marketing, manufacturing, and suppliers
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
