Westinghouse Parts Business seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in our New Stanton facility to support the Westinghouse Parts Business (WPB). The New Stanton site works on projects to bolster plant safety and reliability by providing the electrical, instrumentation and control (I&C), and mechanical products and services that our customers require. This position is within the Electrical Products Group and is responsible to support design, manufacture, testing, and delivery of high-quality electrical products. The manufacturing engineering role will also support the mechanical and I&C products on an as needed basis. Your Day-to-Day:
Provide direct engineering support to operations covering all aspects product manufacturing Develop and maintain SAP production routings and BOMS. Provide input to and disposition of routine technical problems or product issues Collect and analyze data to define problems and implement corrective actions Analyze operations and implement improvements to facilitate manufacturing efficiency including development of alternate solutions enabling less expensive operations. Lead manufacturing improvements including business case development for capital expenditures Apply manufacturing concepts such as lean manufacturing, six-sigma methodology, and statistical process analysis to continuously improve efficiency of manufacturing processes. Interact with shop floor personnel to establish relationships and help create employee engagement. Lead cross functional, complex improvement initiatives critical to improving manufacturing process Analyze and recommend utilization of technological innovations in machinery and manufacturing techniques to solve manufacturing problems Support development of new suppliers in order to achieve first pass acceptance Analyze and make proposals and implement strategic plans Work effectively as part of a cross-functional team including quality engineering, supply chain management, marketing, customer service, manufacturing, and the supplier base Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience. 3
years of applicable manufacturing experience required Proven knowledge and experience with electrical distribution systems, preferably with Low/Medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, and motor control centers Previous experience in the Nuclear Industry, specifically in nuclear power plant safety / non-safety systems, IEEE Standards and EPRI NP-5652 is highly desired. SAP knowledge, especially Material Master Data management is strongly desired Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Visio. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to all levels of the organization. Effective in the change management process. Strong experience working with 2D drawings, AutoCAD, and technical specifications Experience with design in 3D CAD systems, preferably Inventor and Solidworks Why Westinghouse?
